What We Believe

We believe in the Bible as the inspired, written, Word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17,  Isaiah 40:8) 

We believe in one God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Deuteronomy 6:4,  John 10:29-30,  John 14:26)

We believe in God who is the Creator and Sustainer of all.  (Genesis 1:1,  Acts 17:24-25,  Revelation 4:11)

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, and Savior of the world.  (Matthew 1:21,  John 3:16)

We believe in the Holy Spirit who comforts, equips, and empowers us to live like Jesus.  (John 14:26,  John 16:7,  Ephesians 4:11-12, Acts 1:8 )

We believe man willfully sinned and as a result is without hope apart from Jesus Christ.  (Romans 3:23,  James 4:17)

We believe salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is offered to us through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  (Romans 5:8,  1 Corinthians 15:3-4,  Acts 4:12)

We believe personal salvation is received when we believe God sent Jesus for us, repent of our sins, confess Jesus Christ as Lord, are immersed in baptism, and remain committed to God's plan for our lives.  ( John 3:16,  Luke 13:3,  Romans 10:9,  Acts 2:38, Revelation 2:10 ) 

We believe the Church consists of all believers found throughout the world who have received salvation in Jesus.  ( Ephesians 4:4-6,  Ephesians 2:19-22 )

We believe the local church, governed by Elders, is both corporately and individually responsible for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others.  (1 Corinthians 1:2,  Acts 14:23,  1 John 3:1, Matthew 28:18-20)
