Life is Better Together

We want you to grow in God’s Word and also with His people.  At the Fountain, we do this within an adult small groups ministry called Life Groups.  Life Groups are groups of adults who meet on various days throughout the week for three primary purposes:  1)  Spend time together, 2)  Study God’s Word together, and 3)  Serve together.  They want to grow closer to God together.

When do Life Groups Meet?

We have three Life Group sessions within any calendar year.  We call these our Winter, Spring, and Fall sessions.  Each is eight weeks long.  So our groups meet 24 weeks within a 52-week calendar year.  Typically, our winter session starts in mid-January and ends before Easter.  Our spring session starts immediately after Easter and ends at the end of school.  We take summers off and then have a final session in the fall which ends just before Thanksgiving.  During our Life Group sessions, we have different groups who meet on different days throughout the week.

What happens in a

Life Group?

Our Life Groups can meet within homes or at church.  Some provide childcare.  Others do not.  Each meeting often begins by sharing food together.  This could include snacks, desserts, or entire meals.  This is followed up by a Bible study based upon the previous Sunday’s message.  Once finished, groups will pray together and then spend time together before leaving.  Meetings often last a couple of hours.  Over the course of an eight week session, groups are encouraged to spend six weeks studying, one week serving, and one week spending time together participating in a fun activity.

What do Life Groups Study?

During Life Group sessions, the Fountain provides questions to use.  These questions are available in printed form at Connection Point or online through our Church Center app.  The questions are based upon the previous Sunday’s message and often allow groups to dive deeper into the truths presented.

How do Life Groups Serve Together?

Over the course of any session, groups are encouraged to find one service project and serve together.  Some find projects within the church.  Others find them outside of the church in the community.  The goal is to find a project the group will enjoy and to focus upon others.  The Fountain provides serving opportunities as needed.
